VECV resumes manufacturing in seven plants

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) announced the resumption of manufacturing operations in seven of its plants in the country. These plants located in Pithampur, Dewas, and Baggad in Madhya Pradesh and Thane in Maharashtra have resumed lean operations after the required permissions were granted by the state government.

Volvo-Eicher to invest Rs 2,500 cr

Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture (JV) between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors plans to invest about Rs 2,500 crore by 2013.The JV is setting up an engine manufacturing unit on a 12-acre plot in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The proposed unit will make 100,000 medium-duty five- and eight-litre automotive engines annually and will be operational by mid-2013.
